Our Story

Chasen & Associates, through its principal, Jerry Chasen, provides individualized and expert services to individuals and families in planning their estates. With more than 30 years experience practicing law, Mr. Chasen brings a seasoned and thoughtful approach to his client's estate planning needs. He is supported in this effort by Stephen S. Bodden, who has been in practice since 1995. The firm believes that a client's wishes are paramount, and that there is no substitute for careful listening to a client's needs and intentions.

The firm's clients include families of all sorts, both traditional and non-traditional, and many of the clients make use of the firm's considerable expertise in charitable and planned gifts. The firm provides highly sophisticated services in a personable and informal setting; after all, estate planning requires a full and frank discussion of extremely personal matters, and openness of communication is critical. A significant percentage of the firm's clientele involves gay or lesbian same sex couples, but the firm's work includes and welcomes families of all persuasions and orientations.
